A dear friend had invited me to meet her at the Simple Farm market one morning. Our girls were toddlers then and we had a wonderful time exploring the gardens, sampling caramels, meeting Lylah and the herd. Since the farm was in our neighborhood, we would stop by again and again.
In 2020, as many churches closed their doors, Lylah and her husband, Pastor Michael, chose to keep theirs open. Desert Streams Chapel became a refuge for us during that time. What a relief to be able to sing together, pray together, and break bread together. Our faith became our solid rock, a place to rest and be encouraged.
