I remember how I found you like it was yesterday! My brother Adam and Mylisa had just had their first baby and her breast milk never came in properly and little Sam started to lose weight and wasn’t thriving no matter what she tried. She worked with lactation consultants and took herbs to try and increase her milk but it just didn’t work. Seeing my little nephew go hungry and my sister in law in distress I went into high gear and remembered we all thrived growing up on goats milk. I knew goat milk was much closer to breast milk than cows milk so I set out to find a goat for Sam! I posted on Facebook and asked if anyone knew where I could buy goat milk in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area and David Simonsen, whom I went to high school with, reached out and told me about Lylah and Michael from the Simple Farm. I called you and told you the situation and you agreed to meet me and from that day forward, I pick up goat milk once or twice a week. Sam thrived on it and regained his health and started to finally gain weight. He was such a happy joyful baby and we are forever grateful you came into our lives.
As a side note, when Sam was 2 years old, my sister in law tried cows milk with him after they moved back to Oregon and he broke out into a terrible rash. I urgently suggested she stop that right away and go back to goats milk. I don’t remember if she was able to find a source of raw goats milk in OR but she did stop the cows milk and his rash disappeared.
Aside from the goat’s milk, I thoroughly enjoyed coming around the Farm when you were selling produce. I enjoyed getting fresh vegetables, herbs and goat milk caramels. Your Farm is a true slice of heaven and I always enjoyed my time there seeing the floppy eared goats and your gorgeous gardens and visiting with both you and Michael
